Played a bit of FFXIII on the 360 and really wasn't impressed. Went back to playing FFIX on the PS3 and found joy. Hopefully they can get the series back on track.
Not sure what the scariest game would be, but The Cradle level from Thief: Deadly Shadows is surely the scariest level ever made.
Very valid points about iD having to walk the narrow line between catering for the console generation while also giving the Doom generation something to feel is their own.
Yeah it will be, everything from 2.0 will be in the 360 release, and the few new 360 things like the 4 minutes of new CGI footage will then get crossed back over to the PC.
I'm not sure whether to go back and struggle with my performance when 2.0 comes out, or try the Xbox version. The 360 version is noticeably lower def though.
Not sure about that, they showed a troll in the arena, well actually it was two trolls and some other small enemies.
Got my beta key after playing at the Expo, it is going to be so good when it comes on the PC.
Oh yeah, a bit of classic deathmatch would be splendid, with bots too! That would be fun :D
Yeh no co-op is a bit of a shame, but it feels such an old school style shooter, co-op might be a bit out of place in it.
Do you not realise that mods are where some of the best innovation comes from? Counter-Strike started life as a mod, Dear Esther was a mod, so many great things come from the modding scene. I think it is great to see BF2 still getting mods released. What happened to the mods for the original CoD titles? Did they not improve and add to the games?
I'll fully agree that it may not seem like the most exciting game in the world, but I think it is really good to see indie developers making games for Kinect that work on the PC.
More of this I say!
It is always good to see a developer who cares about the PC like Paradox do, it seems like Valve and Paradox are the only big developers with a true passion for the PC at times.
Yea the DiRT handling wasn't the best, but it did have some really good rally stages, I remember the Japanese ones, flying down those mountains in the wet in a powerful C4 was quite an experience.
They should GMWPS3, DiRT is fun and all and is going to sell brilliantly all the time, that is the nature of the game. But there is surely an audience still out there for a 'proper' rally game. I would snap it up in an instant. I just wish WRC had worked out better than it did, it had such a great idea, it was just a shame they couldn't fulfill the potential.
Oh yes, to have a game that brings the feel of Network Q into an up to date engine would be immense. It wouldn't necessarily have to have all the nations on the WRC, keep it simple with the GB rally, get all the stages in, make them feel real and intense. Sorted.
I'm sure there must be an audience for that kind of rally game still.
Very nice :D
Good point, do many people use the GFW Marketplace? I know they had that AoE give away at one point, but since then I haven't really heard much about it.
The first two images were exactly the same for me, the third was massively different though.
I don't often have too many problems in games, I kind of fumble my way through any that do pose me difficulties. RISK factions was a troubling one I must admit.
Oh yes, when I first saw a video for this I immediately fell in love with the visuals, TF2 stylings to the fore in my mind.
Oh I agree totally, Dishonored is looking very special, can't wait for more details to come on it.
